After playing in the APC for the last few years as the Shanghai / Hong Kong Sharks combined team, in 2024 Hong Kong decided they had enough players on their own to field a separate team the Hong Kong Lions that became the 9th team in the APC 2024 in Da Nang.
In APC 2024 DA NANG the Hong Kong Lions competed in their first APC tournament and performed admirably, they finished in 6th position on equal points with 4th placed Seoul Crushers and 5th placed Manila Patriots after head to head comparisons.
APC 2025 MANILA saw Hong Kong Lions maintain their 6th place ranking in arguably the toughest competition in APC history.
They are a respected team and given time should rise up the ladder. The next test will be in APC 2026 JAKARTA.
