Shanghai Shed Sharks

Shanghai Sharks had their first taste of APC competition in 2012 and came away bloodied but unbowed in Bangkok. Since then they participated in all APC team events, however they have not reached their full potential.

The Sharks still have not realized their potential and struggled at APC 2016 SAIGON and APC 2017 BANGKOK.

They did however manage to get a player to the grand final of the Super Singles in 2017.

At APC 2018 MANILA the Sharks once again struggled but they always are a great social team.

Shanghai Sharks headed to Jakarta for APC 2019 and consistency has once again bitten the Sharks and finished in last place.

Due to Covid 19 the Asia Pool challenge went into hibernation until 2022. There is no doubt that Covid hit China harder than any other Asian country with severe lockdowns. It demolished the pool league and lots of venues closed. Due to this hardship Shanghai have had to include Hong Kong into a combined team for APC 2022 held in Bangkok. The end result was the same as previous years.

The Shanghai / Hong Kong Sharks participated in APC 2023 PHNOM PENH and maintained their last position status.

At APC 2024 DA NANG the team split into two teams – the Shanghai Shed Sharks and Hong Kong Lions, but the Sharks again finished last in 9th place.

APC 2025 MANILA saw a repeat of 2024 finishing in 9th place.

We are still waiting for them to bring their A team.

Will it happen at APC 2026 JAKARTA?
